The Little Boy Who Lived in Only Green Land George Nixon Books
This is a delightful little book, simply and colorfully illustrated, that I believe will bring readers of all ages much joy.Though a children's book, "The Little Boy Who Lived in Only Green Land" is a gentle reminder to all of us that we become narrow and limited when we make our worlds monochromatic. The little boy tries, as do we all, to deal with his fears by creating a world he believes will be safe. But safety, in the end, makes the little boy smaller in the quality of his experience. The way he finds his road home is quietly inspiring.
Nixon has written a book that is, on its surface, about diversity of color, with the obvious racial implications. But deep within the core of the book is a challenge to keep the doors open to ALL of our varied experiences, to embrace everything this wonderful life has to offer.
Thank you, George Nixon, for showing us how it is done.

The Little Boy Who Lived in Only Green Land George Nixon Books Reviews
This is a great little book about feelings, emotional development and diversity. I would recommend it to people of all ages.
This is an absolute little gem of a children's book! It gives kids a lesson in diversity through the use of a wonderfully descriptive pallette of colors. Not only is it a simple, good read for kids, but introduces them to new words and concepts in a way they can easily grasp, thanks to the cute, manga-style (Japanese comics) illustrations.
